Ghayathi

dunes in the world and a dazzling array of marine life, Al
Gharbia offers a rich variety of tourist attractions:
Marine Life
In the Arabian Gulf's shallow waters corals teem with fish, sea
cows come to graze and turtles come ashore to lay their eggs;
the deeper waters are home to whales, dolphins, sharks and sea
snakes.
Sand Dunes
The sand dunes surrounding Ghayathi hide fresh water springs,
small farmstead and fossil evidence of life from eight million
years ago. The city of Liwa is home to some of the tallest sand
dunes in the world and is the base camp for the annual UAE
Desert Challenge.
History
Liwa Oasis; the spiritual home of the Abu Dhabi Emirate's Ruling
family, is one of the largest oases on the Arabian peninsula and
has been nurturing life since early humans passed this way
centuries ago.
The Volcanic Dalma Island is also one of the premier historical
islands for tourism in the country with its rich history of
pearl diving.
Wildlife
With an exclusive treasured wildlife reserve, where the likes of
Cheetahs, Oryx and sand cats reside, Sir Bani Yas Island is a
unique and wonderful attraction for all wildlife lovers.
